A Turkish Delight bar jumped onto my lunch tray at work yesterday, and I instantly remembered quite how scrummy they are.
One appeared again about 10 minutes ago, although it’s gone now. They really are lovely.
Well, it’s a bit of a miracle really ….. 3 English clubs in the draw and they’ve all managed to avoid one another! We get to play PSV(again), and have the potential of meeting either Chelsea or Valencia in the semis …… could be another few good matches!!
…… because the new holiday pics are up :o)

So, a few of you may be wondering what the big secret I was going on about in previous posts. Well……
… earlier in the year I had an email from a reporter who’d stumbled across my website and was interested in writing a story on my New Year’s resolution and all the things I’d been up to for it. Long story short, this week’s first was an article written about me put in the magazine ‘Real People’ magazine (ok, you twisted my arm, I’m on page 24 - a pic of it is here)
This week’s first was the team Xmas meal in Oxfords in town, then out for a few drinks. I’ve never been to Oxfords before, and the food was good considering it was a big christmassy dinner type thing.
Then there was the small matter of me being rather ill that night, but I won’t write all that on here ;o)
Bit of a strange first this week …… Si and I had a guy come round to take some photographs of us (but I can’t tell you what for). So, this week’s first was Si and I’s first professional photo shoot.
Technology related first this week ….. I got my hands on this - a shiny new phone :o)
Hot on the heels of a great couple of days at the Reading FC hotel was this week’s first …… the first time Si’s parents, brother, sister in law and niece have come down to visit for the day, and the first time we’ve had to cook for everyone.
I use ‘we’ in the loosest sense of the word here …… I entertained, Si cooked :oD
This week was Simon’s birthday (I won’t say how old - I think he’d kill me ;o) ) and I set up a little treat for him.
Being as he’s a huge Reading fan, I booked us a room and meal in the Millennium Madejski Hotel - the hotel at the ground. Neither of us have been to the hotel before. I’ll refer you to Si’s blog for the full info on the day/night, but needless to say we had a great time!!
